Welcome to Integrative Fitness Training (IFT), where we believe in the power of movement to transform lives. Founded in 2017 with a strong passion dedicated to cultivating a holistic approach to fitness, IFT aims to bridge the gap between elite performance and fitness coaching, and the general public.

My name is Alex Kirkup, Owner and Lead Performance Coach at IFT.

Holding a Master's degree in Performance Coaching from the University of South Wales, as well as being recognised Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, I’m driven by a vision to democratise the commonly limited world of Strength and Conditioning. I founded IFT with the goal of making a movement-focused approach to health and fitness accessible to everyone. Rooted in evidence-based practices and cutting-edge research, our training methods aim to optimise performance, prevent injuries, and enhance overall well-being.

At IFT, we understand that physical capabilities go far beyond the confines of a traditional gym environment. While traditional gym workouts can be effective for some, they often neglect the full spectrum of human movement potential. Our approach is founded on the belief that movement is a fundamental aspect of human nature that deserves to be nurtured and developed.
